Just when I thought that Mali Apple and Joe Dunn could not top themselves, after their book The Soulmate Experience, in comes The Soulmate Lover, and I am proven wrong.One of the many things I like about this book is this: It meets you wherever you are, in the spectrum of intimate love.
Whether you are looking to meet a new lover or you have the same one for 32 years like I do…
Whether you have some major emotional healing to do, or you just want a greater connection with the people you love.
It’s challenging to write one book that fits all, but this book does just that.
There are so many techniques to practice throughout the book that I’m struggling to choose which ones to comment on.
For sure, I love the “Magic Door” Technique. It encourages you to practice accepting yourself fully as you walk through the door. To me, this is a significant shift in thinking. So many of us struggle with completely accepting ourselves, warts and all. When we examine this closely, how can we fully accept our lovers when we haven’t done this for ourselves?
This book provides numerous insights for doing just that.
Another enlightening technique from the book is practicing the power of invitation. As soon as I tried this, what I saw was that my lover stopped feeling like he was on the defense and was then able to invite me to participate with him as well. It took the pressure off of us that we used to feel when we expected certain behaviors from each other. The disappointed feelings between us have been able to melt away naturally.
I cannot thank the authors enough for the incredible insights and pure intentions that they had for writing this book. I only hope that we don’t have to wait too long for their next great endeavor.

They always seem to have their finger on the pulse of how to evolve the self much less in relationships when we are experiencing so much reflection that we don't have on our own. I love their dedication to getting the deepest fulfillment from everything 💖
Good book if you are looking for help in your search in finding you soulmate. A lot of the information is common sense but we forget to use our intuitive nature. Good for widows who have been in a marriage a long time and forget how to date.
This book is truly amazing! It's easy to read and is definitely a page turner. I love the fact in each chapter there are scenarios where issues affecting real life individuals and couples are explored. This makes it very easy to relate to the topics and the solutions presented. I think it was a brilliant idea to incorporate these views and stories, for it shows me that I'm not alone and that ordinary people out there have the same insecurities, fears and problems that I do. I was also pleased that the book not only documents what the various issues are but out gives you precise step-by-step guidelines and charts a clear path to the solution.
Chapter 9 is one of my favorites. I really connected with it and will be putting all the advice and solutions given to great use! There is a lesson in The Soulmate Lover for everyone!
This is the second book I have read by Mali Apple, and Joe Dunn. This book dives more into sex, and intimacy, which has been lost for a few years in my relationship. It taught me some new things about myself, and how to challenge myself, and my partner in new ways. This book is very helpful, and full of great advice, Thanks to Mali and Joe I’m a lot more present in my relationship now after having read both their books, but I have also begun to enjoy and appreciate myself, and my partner on more deeper levels. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking to spice up their relationship, and feel better about themselves, for us it has been life changing! Highly recommended!
The Soulmate Lover is a must-read! It delves into the depths of ourselves and even the most uncomfortable areas we view from our perspective about and helps us to find a sense of acceptance, allowing us to “free” ourselves and every negative areas in we see internally in a physical and emotional dimension so that we can truly form an uninterrupted connection with our lover. I love the fact that actual stories and scenarios are used by actual people Mali and Joe works with because it makes the grasp relatable and more human. You would be surprised to realize the power of reconditioning our minds even to firmly assure ourselves that “we are sexy” makes and drastic impact on how this fact makes us feel!! Growing up, there was always an uncomfortable feeling to the word “sexy” or “sensual” and it’s embedded in our minds. Once we are adults, the viewpoint since childhood or even the way someone once made us feel about ourselves negatively plays a sometimes horrid role in our sex lives and our body image. The Soulmate Lover encourages acceptance, no matter what we may physically look like, and change the negative body image and taboos we grew to know and embrace the fact that we are not only sexual, fully capable beings of satisfying our lovers, but it also encourages wholeness in connection to ourselves and others. Love it!!
